CMMC offers convenience of two blood drawing locations

Central Montana Medical Center’s (CMMC) laboratory offers testing for the purpose of screening, diagnosis, and monitoring of disease condition. And, did you know that CMMC laboratory also offers you the same service from the same phlebotomists in two different locations on campus?

Patients needing lab services have the convenience of having their blood drawn at the hospital lab or at the clinic lab (located in suite 4 of the medical arts building). The same phlebotomists rotate their schedules at both labs. “Patients are always in experienced hands which ever lab is convenient to them at the time,” said Deb Pratt, Certified Phlebotomist. “Being able to offer our patient’s the choice and convenience of two labs means a lot to us and our expectations of great service.” Regardless of blood draw location, patient’s admitting process is the same and all tests are processed at the hospital lab using CMMC’s state-of-the-art equipment.  A recent state inspection of the laboratory proved to be excellent; with no deficiencies.

Beyond the approximate 260,000 tests conducted annually, CMMC’s lab also offers reduced cost blood draws in conjunction with CMMC’s annual Health Fair to promote well-being and health education in Central Montana.  This 13 year tradition presented blood draws and results to 553 people last spring from CMMC’s skilled phlebotomists.
